Framework concept for development

The framework concept formulates guiding principles for the future development of the Gusen remembrance site, which are intended to inform the site’s content, curatorial design, and educational programming. It provides the basis both for in-depth conceptual work and for the preparation of a competition to design of future exhibitions and curatorial interventions on at the site. The concept is based on the final report of the participatory process for the redesign of the Gusen Memorial and on additional framework documents of the Mauthausen Memorial. It also makes reference to the winning project of the international competition for architecture and landscape design.
